I am a fully registered and insured, highly specialist psychotherapist of 24 years good standing.  

 

I have core psychotherapy trainings in systemic, transpersonal/humanistic and psychoanalytic approaches.

I am qualified and experienced in working across the full range of emotional suffering and mental health illness - with children, with adolescents, with adults, with couples, with families, with groups.

I have worked in higher education, training counsellors and psychotherapists, for many years, and was also Vice-Chair of UKCP - our professional regulator in the UK - for 6 years.  Whilst I was at UKCP I have overall responsibility for the training, education and practice of psychotherapists and my key achievement over that time was to establish a specialist Register for psychotherapists working with children and adolescents - your children deserve properly trained, specialist clinicians and this Register ensures that.

Prior to working in the world of psychotherapy practice, supervision and education, I achieved a degree in Theology and a Doctorate in Philosophy of Self and have also worked extensively in the voluntary sector.
